John J. Eck M.D.
Dr. Eck received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He trained at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho and has been in private practice since completion of his residency. Dr. Eck is Board Certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and has privileges at both St. Alphonsus and St. Luke's Regional Medical Centers.
Dr. Eck enjoys being a primary care physician and focusing on improving patients health; mind, body and spirit. He is passionate about helping patients to stay healthy over their lifetime and values his long-term relationships with his patients and their families.
Dr. Eck has four children and a fabulous wife. He enjoys his involvement in the community, non-profit organizations, and medical staff leadership. In his spare time, Dr. Eck enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, and most anything outdoors.
Colleen SHackelford, NP-C
Colleen Shackelford is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Colleen completed a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2011. She completed a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Portland in Oregon in 2004. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society of Nursing.
Colleen is delighted to join the team at Center for Lifetime Health. She brings 5 years of experience in family medicine and enjoys caring for patients and their families across the lifespan. As clinicians that blend clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating health conditions with an added emphasis on disease prevention and health management, Nurse Practitioners bring a comprehensive perspective to health care.
Colleen is married and has two young boys. She enjoys running, volunteering in her community, and spending time with her family and hiking the great outdoors of Idaho.
Terryn Martin, DNP
Terryn Martin is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Montana State University with a Doctorate Nurse Practitioner Degree in Family and Individual Care in May 2017. Prior to starting her role as a Nurse Practitioner, Terryn was a registered nurse for over nine years caring for neonatal intensive care, newborn nursery, and maternity patients. She also spent time in nursing academia as a nursing instructor and nurse mentor.
Terryn enjoys all aspects of family practice and particularly enjoys caring for pediatric, adolescent, and GYN patients as well as those with diabetes and other chronic illnesses. She works closely with all her patients to address all aspects of wellness including physical, emotional, and spiritual. She wants most to maintain lifelong relationships with her patients and to give them the tools to prevent illness and disease and be the healthiest they can be.
Terryn has a wonderful loving husband, one energetic little girl, and a sweet little boy. She loves pursing any outdoor activity with her family including backpacking, hiking, fly-fishing, skiing, and any water related activity. She also greatly appreciates quieter home-making activities like quilting and crafting.
Ryan Vance, RDN, LD
Ryan Vance is a Registered Dietitian and member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Idaho State University. He brings 10 year’s of experience providing individual and group nutrition counseling sessions.
Ryan enjoys being a dietitian and working closely with clients to improve their relationship with food and gain a better understanding of chronic disease and how nutrition plays a vital role. He is passionate about using innovative and evidence-based nutrition to help people achieve lifelong health and wellness.
Ryan is thankful for his amazing wife and two sons Isaiah and Ezra and all the joy and happiness they bring him. He also enjoys all things outside, running in the Boise foothills, camping, hiking and gardening. Above all he loves to laugh.
