Sarah H. Stuhr, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

Sarah H. Stuhr, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 15 years of experience helping individuals with persistent pain and complex conditions return to meaningful, active lives. She is fellowship-trained in orthopedic manual therapy and takes a collaborative, whole-person approach, combining hands-on treatment, current evidence,  individualized exercise, and patient education to support long-term health.

Sarah treats a full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions and has particular experience working with more complex or persistent presentations, including those that have not found lasting improvement with prior care. She has advanced experience in conditions affecting the head, neck, and jaw, including temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD), headaches, whiplash-associated disorders, and post-concussion symptoms.

She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and completed her fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through the University of Illinois Chicago. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Willamette University.

Prior to joining the team in Boise, Sarah owned and operated a private practice in Portland, Oregon, where she focused on complex and persistent pain conditions. Her full background includes work in outpatient orthopedics, hospital-based care, professional advocacy, and teaching and mentorship at the doctoral and post-doctoral level.

Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys spending time with her young family, exploring Idaho’s outdoors, and learning watercolor painting. You’ll often find her volunteering at her church, her children’s schools, or with WAVES Idaho. When she’s active, she enjoys weightlifting, swimming, mountain biking, skiing or snowboarding, and spending time along the region’s many rivers. She is currently working on improving her pickleball game and is an active AC Boise River Guard member.
