Meet Mariah Boyd, DPT
Mariah Boyd, DPT, has always been intrigued by the human body and its incredible ability to heal, adapt, and become stronger. Her path to physical therapy began when she became a patient herself in high school. That experience sparked a curiosity about how the body works and opened her eyes to the powerful role physical therapy can play in helping people regain confidence, return to the things they love, and reach their full potential.
What started as a personal experience grew into a passion and, ultimately, a career. For over 10 years, Mariah has had the privilege of helping people overcome pain and injuries, build strength, and feel confident in their bodies again. Her experience includes outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, concussion management, balance and vestibular care, and post-operative rehabilitation. Through her husband’s military service, Mariah has had the opportunity to practice across five states, working with people from diverse backgrounds and gaining a broad perspective on patient care.Mariah believes effective physical therapy goes beyond treating a diagnosis or simply making pain go away. Her approach is patient-centered and begins with understanding the whole person: their history, lifestyle, priorities, concerns, and what they ultimately want to be able to do. Whether a patient wants to return to running, get back to the gym, hike with their family, return to a favorite sport, recover from surgery, or simply move through everyday life with greater confidence, those goals help guide the plan of care.
She believes patients should be active participants in their recovery. Treatment is individualized to meet each person where they are, while building the strength, mobility, knowledge, and confidence they need to progress. Her goal is not only to help patients feel better, but to help them understand their bodies, become more resilient, and feel empowered to continue taking care of themselves long after physical therapy ends.
At the heart of Mariah’s approach is a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel strong, capable, and confident in their body, and everyone deserves the opportunity to get back to doing what they love.
